When you have a clear shot at a hole and want to hit it close, learn this shot that the Tour professionals use: Take one more club than you would normally use and choke down an inch or so on the handle. Make a three quarter swing and stroke the ball with a sharp, descending blow while accelerating through the shot. The ball will fly a little lower, hit, and then spin backward. This shot will help you become more accurate and able to hunt those pins.
